In “la métamorphose du prince” (the prince metamorphosing), I picture the male face in our society from what I imagine is the women’s perspective.

The prince is a familiar character in child literature. Girls build expectations and learn to wait for him passively. Meanwhile, boys learn to take, not necessarily done with courage or pride.
This series illustrates the transition process from the innocent and awaited prince charming into a never repleted and ruthless figure.

Shown as one single and foldable print on matt paper in 13x57cm with no frame. Closing page with a short poem in French. Given away as a postcard.

The poem included reads as follows:

Il s'approche, souriant
danse, flaire puis enlace.
Lorsqu'il a gagné d'avance,
il prend.
Il n'a fait que son devoir,
en réponse à l'ostentatoire.
